This two-part workshop (29/01/2008 and 12/02/2008) is designed for staff with teaching responsibilities who have been recently appointed to VU. It focuses on learning and teaching in the VU context and follows a student centred approach. It should not be confused with the VU induction which covers administrative/employment matters. As attendance at both sessions is required, please enrol only if you can attend both. The first session on January 29 runs from 9.30-3pm and the second session on February 12 from 9-11am. Assessment tasks will be available which if completed will provide access to the Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching. |

Adobe Captivate makes it easy to create online interactive demos and tutorials. You will learn how to capture all on-screen activity, such as mouse movements, key strokes, and child windows, and then save it as a series of slides that play like a movie. All information that shows on your computer screen can be captured with Captivate. The workshop will also look at how audio can be integrated into the movie by recording voice narration during or after the screen capture and by importing audio files. A variety of other elements will also be explored, such as captions, buttons, click boxes, quiz questions and branching, can be added to the movie to engage the audience.
